Introduction to fractional linear systems. part 2: discrete-time case - Vision, Image and Signal Processing, IEE Proceedings-

چکیده
In the paper, the class of discrete linear systems is enlarged with the inclusion of discrete-time fractional linear systems. These are systems described by fractional difference equations and fractional frequency responses. It is shown how io compute the impulse response and transfer function. Fractal signals are introduced as output of special linear systems: fractional differaccumulators, systems that can be considered as having fractional poles or zeros. The concept of fractional differaccumulation is discussed, gencralising the notions of fractal and lif noise, and introducing two kinds of fractional differaccumulated stochastic proccss: hyperbolic, resulting from fractional accumulation (similar to the continuous-time casc), and parabolic noise, resulting from fractional differencing.

In this paper, the class of continuous-time linear systems is enlarged with the inclusion of the fractionallinear systems. These are systems described by fractional differential equations. It is shown how to compute theimpulse, step, and frequency responses from the transfer function. The theory is supported by definitions offractional derivative and integral, generalisations of the...
متن کاملSampling Rate Conversion in the Discrete Linear Canonical Transform Domain
Sampling rate conversion (SRC) is one of important issues in modern sampling theory. It can be realized by up-sampling, filtering, and down-sampling operations, which need large complexity. Although some efficient algorithms have been presented to do the sampling rate conversion, they all need to compute the N-point original signal to obtain the up-sampling or the down-sampling signal in the tim...
متن کاملSimple mixture model for sparse overcomplete ICA - Vision, Image and Signal Processing, IEE Proceedings-
The use of mixture of Gaussians (MoGs) for noisy and overcomplete independent component analysis (ICA) when the source distributions are very sparse is explored. The sparsity model can often be justified if an appropriate transform, such as the modified discrete cosine transform, is used. Given the sparsity assumption, a number of simplifying approximations are introduced to the observation den...
متن کاملFinite Time Mix Synchronization of Delay Fractional-Order Chaotic Systems
Chaos synchronization of coupled fractional order differential equation is receiving increasing attention because of its potential applications in secure communications and control processing. The aim of this paper is synchronization between two identical or different delay fractional-order chaotic systems in finite time. At first, the predictor-corrector method is used to obtain the solutions ...
